For Men:  Sleeping Giants, by Kenny Luck taught by Joe Schieve. Encourage the men of your church to awaken, to move from the audience to the army, from affiliated to activated, from lackadaisical to on-fire for God! As our culture decays around us and evil wins one battle after another, a giant sleeps. That sleeping giant is the men of God’s church.

Featured in the Fellowship Hall-The Adult Quarterly for this fall, taught by Doug Carlson. This quarter, our study of Judges and 1 and 2 Samuel will give us an opportunity to examine the leaders and rulers of early Israel, including their successes, their failures, and their encounters with God. Our journey through this quarter will lead us to ask: “Who will be ruler of my life?”

Featured in Classroom #8- WOMEN’S CLASS (teens and adults) Uninvited, by Lysa Terkeust.  The enemy wants us to feel rejected . . . left out, lonely, and less than. When we allow him to speak lies through our rejection, he pickpockets our purpose. Cripples our courage. Dismantles our dreams. And blinds us to the beauty of Christ’s powerful love. In Uninvited, Lysa shares her own deeply personal experiences with rejection—from the incredibly painful childhood abandonment by her father to the perceived judgment of the perfectly toned woman one elliptical over. With biblical depth, gut-honest vulnerability, and refreshing wit, Lysa helps readers:

•Embrace God-honoring ways to process their hurt. •Overcome the two core fears that feed our insecurities. •Stop feeling left out and start believing that “set apart” does not mean “set aside.” •End the cycle of perceived rejection by refusing to turn a small incident into a full blown issue
